Our Safety Culture

Workplace Health and Safety

At Sertex, we recognize our workforce as our most valuable resource. Their safety, competency, and well-being are fundamental to our culture. Through our comprehensive commitment to safety, our team has earned one of the highest safety records in the telecom industry.

Annual Safety Training Retreat

Each year, our telecom crews come together for a comprehensive four-day safety training retreat designed to enhance their skills and knowledge. This intensive program includes a thorough review of OSHA regulations and National Electrical Safety Code requirements, ensuring compliance and safety standards are met in the field. Participants also undergo first aid and CPR certification, along with AED training to be prepared for emergencies. The retreat involves detailed equipment inspection procedures and hands-on safety demonstrations to reinforce practical skills. Additionally, attendees are updated on state and local regulations to stay informed about any changes that may affect their work.

Ongoing Workplace Health and Safety Dialogue

Throughout the year, field technicians and supervisors participate in monthly online forums to share experiences, discuss challenges, and develop solutions. These collaborative sessions leverage our collective wisdom to address safety concerns and prevent future incidents.

Commitment to Standards

Sertex is an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer that fully complies with the “Drug-Free Workplace” Act and DOT-compliant testing requirements. All new hires must pass pre-employment drug screening, and CDL drivers undergo random testing throughout their employment. These policies reinforce our safety-first culture and support our efficient, dedicated workforce.
