You’ll also find them indoors, expertly guiding thousands of strands of delicate glass fiber through hospitals, schools, emergency facilities, businesses, and homes.
Whether working high above the ground on utility poles or operating near high-voltage electrical lines, linemen must demonstrate exceptional skill and a deep commitment to safety. It’s physically demanding, highly technical, and requires unwavering focus and stamina. Most are trained on the job, learning to read complex engineering plans, operate heavy machinery, and perform precision splicing, where success is measured in nanometers.
