Telecom Lineman – Apprentice

Job Summary

As a Telecom Lineman Apprentice, you will perform aerial and underground fiber optic line construction, maintenance and repair of telecom networks. Where:

  • The Telecom Lineman is a field position with extensive travel in the New England region, including overnight stays. We currently have work in CT, RI (including Block Island), Central and Western MA, and Brattleboro VT.

  • Learn to operate cable placing equipment, including bucket trucks and reel trailers
  • Learn to safely climb telephone poles and ladders

Telecom Service Installer – Experienced

Job Summary:

Telecom Service installers are responsible for connecting fiber optic service from the aerial or underground telecom utility location to the inside of a home or business. In addition, installers will troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade existing fiber optic services. Telecom Service installers maintain regularly scheduled installation appointments and interact with home and business residents. The ideal candidate can work independently and as part of a part of a team. This is a regular, full-time, non-exempt position with a salary range of $23 to $28 per hour depending on experience.

  • Perform installation of new service and performs service calls
  • Pre-wire single dwelling units and multiple dwelling units (MDUs) to provide ready hook-up capabilities
